The Eagle
Diver Skill level    Advanced
        Depth       75 to 120 Feet
            Current     Moderate to Strong

In December of 1985 the Eagle was the first ship deliberately
sunk in the Florida Keys. She lies in 120 feet of water midway
between Crocker Reef, and Alligator Light. The Eagle rest on
its starboard side with her bow pointing inshore. The hull is
perpendicular with the current of the gulf stream. This out her
superstructure in the lee of the current. You first encounter the
hull at 75 feet. The current is strong but once you go over the
edge to explore the decks it is much less. Here you will
find an abundance of fish, and other sea creatures.
