Sombrero Beach Marathon
Midway in Marathon on the Atlantic side you will find Sombrero Drive.
It runs along side the K Mart shopping center. Drive back about three
miles you will find Sombrero Beach. Be careful you go though some
residential areas so they do enforce the speeding laws. It a fairly
large beach with all the things you need restrooms, water fountains
shaded picnic tables. For me its a little to far off the main road if
I'm just cruising by, but if your staying in Marathon this is one of the
you will use.
 
Their Is a very nice Playground for the little ones right on the beach. The
only thing it is lacking is some Shade Trees. I'll have to mention that to the
Lady who is charge of protecting the plants in the Florida Keys the next time
I see her in Key West.
