Key West Scuba Diving Florida Keys

Key West Scuba Diving
Scuba Diving, Florida Keys

Each of our diving and snorkeling trips is a natural wonder. After departing from our dock conveniently located in the center of the Marriott Key Largo Bay Resort, you pass through the Marvin D. Adams fossil embedded coral cut waterway, cross Key Largo sound, and wind through a mangrove lined waterway on your journey to the reef where you will dive and snorkel in an underwater paradise. The clarity of the water, and the many varieties of fish and exotic coral formations create a kaleidoscope of visual pleasure for you to enjoy. The coral reef system off the Florida Keys is North America's only living barrier coral reef and the third largest barrier coral reef in the world. Because of its importance to the ecosystem, its natural beauty, and its uniqueness, the reef system is protected by the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park and Florida Keys Natural Marine Sanctuary. The regulations in place are intended to protect the ecosystem while providing maximum use by the public so that we all can enjoy diving, snorkeling and fishing for years to come. Key West

THE SEA LIFE WILL TAKE YOUR BREATH AWAY

Scuba Diving, Florida KeysYou can expect your dives to be at depths ranging from about 20' to 50' with coral reefs formed by over 50 species of West Indies corals rising from 10' to 20' off the bottom. Cascading walls of sheet coral, staghorn coral forest, sea fans, rods and whips swaying in the light currents, brain coral and colorful sponges create a excellent background for schools of yellowtails, grunts and blue tangs. Parrott fish busily scour the reef in search of food. The ribbon-like green moray eel methodically ripples across the reef as a solitary barracuda hangs out taking it all in. A pair of curious angelfish swim by to check you out as the colorful queen angel shyly watches from a crevice in the coral. Every nook and cranny is teaming with life. Each and every trip to the reef is an unforgettable encounter with the undersea world.

Our boats are equipped with fresh water showers and we furnish tanks, weight, soft drinks and water on our two site trips. One-tank Night Dives are scheduled on Thursdays and Saturdays. Wreck Dives to the Duane and Bibb are scheduled each Saturday and Sunday morning with an 8:00 AM departure aboard our new Sport-Craft six pack the "N2 Deep". Want to set your own schedule? Charter "N2 Deep" and let our Captain be at your service for the day.

JUST FOR KIDS

We offer two exciting, fun-filled activities for the kids who want to experience the thrill of scuba diving, but are too young to take the Junior Open Water Course.

Scuba Diving, Florida KeysThe PADI Bubble Maker experience let's your 8 to 12 year old experience scuba diving in the swimming pool with an instructor for about one hour. Your child will be instructed in basic scuba skills and the permitted to scuba dive in the swimming pool. Kids love it!

Our Power Snorkel experience is a second option Power Snorkeling is a surface activity on the reef. A small tank with regulator and pressure gauge is affixed to a bouyancy device to prevent your child from submerging. This is a two tank two site experience done in conjunction with our regular Dive/Snorkel trips.

CAPTURE THE MOMENT

Take along our videographer to record your dive as a souvenir of your dive in the Keys. We'll video you underwater and produce a tape of you and your dive. How cool is that?
