Crabby Bill's The Loder family first became involved in the seafood restaurant business in Pinellas County in 1975. Bill "Crabby Bill" Loder had been selling crabs on the side of the road in New Jersey. His store was a truck (must be where he got the idea of "fast" food). He had also owned a restaurant in New Jersey as long ago as 1968. Bill and his wife Dolores, learned quickly to exploit child labor. All of their five children worked with them in their restaurants. Most of the family members are still active in the restaurants today, as are their spouses and children! Many of our customers can tell you how they have watched Bill's children grow up and are now watching his grandchildren assisting in the operation of the restaurants. Crabby still has an active part in the daily operations of all the restaurants, but for the most part you will see his children and grandchildren every time you come into one of the Crabby Bill's Seafood Restaurants.
