Marathon is a city located on the island of Key Vaca and is the second largest population center in the Florida Keys. For those of you who may be visiting Key West for the first time you may want to keep in mind that the island is
rather small a little less than 2 x 4 miles. This means there that you are never far form everything Shopping, Beaches, Restaurants and the Key West Night Life. If you drove in you will find parking can be the only real pain if you are coming downtown but there are plenty of pay parking lots in the downtown area. If you did not drive nothing is more than a 10 or 15 minute Cab drive. Please note that the bars in Key West do not close until 4am so please drink responsibly.
