A showcase of architectural splendor, the Red Rooster captures the essence of history in Key West. Built as a private home in 1905, it later offered modest rooms and apartments for the Coast Guard and Navy. During the 1970's and 80's, the Rooster became a place where visitors could find a clean room at an affordable price. Writers, musicians and artists would call it home adding to Key West's colorful reputation.
Purchased a few years back by the Chelsea House, right next door, the Red Rooster Inn has kept its name to preserve the history and identity of this unique mansion. The combined properties can offer many amenities such as:
