Islamorada Fishing in the Florida Keys
The "new kid" on the block, Capt. Bob Henderson has always loved to fish. He's been fishing since he was just five years old when he lived on the Banana River near Coca Beach, Florida. Bob was born in California but lived all over the United States while growing up. His dad was a career military man and the family lived in various parts of the country. Traveling around the country gave Bob an opportunity to do all kinds of fishing, including fishing for Blue Fish, Stripers and Yellowfin Tuna off the New Jersey Coast. Bob lived in South America for 20 years where he fished for grouper, dolphin and anchovies (not the kind you put on your salads), these Anchovies grow up to 15 pounds. After returning to the United States, Bob vacationed each year in the Florida Keys. That's when he decided that one day he would own a boat and take people out fishing. He bought the Jeanie-Q in 2001 and has been living his dream ever since. In the time that he's owned the Jeanie-Q, Bob and his crew have had some memorable catches including the day when they caught and released 4 out of 4 sailfish. Bob loves fishing here in the Keys and is hard-put to name his favorite type of fishing. He loves it all, and will take you out fishing for whatever's biting. The Jeanie-Q is a tournament rigged, 55' Ocean Yacht with all of the amenities and is available for full, half-day and 3/4 day fishing trips. Split charters are also available.
